Email is rapidly becoming an indispensable tool
as it provides a cheap, fast and reliable means of communicating
with people around the world. But a large percentage of people
and businesses do not have 24 hour access to the internet. Smaller
businesses generally get their Internet feed from one of the
local ISPs and access their mail using the one or two email
boxes provided by the ISP.
Large organizations often do enough business
over the Internet to justify owning and administering their
own domain names, websites, and mail servers. For smaller businesses
however the cost justification associated with owning and managing
these services is much more difficult, and thus for as long
as free email services remain available on the Internet, ownership
of these services will probably not be a priority option.
A final disincentive is the prohibitive costs
and difficulties businesses encounter in paying for domain names
and hosting which is usually sufficient to finally discourage
these classes of businesses from proceeding with the registered
e-mail endeavour. But today's reality however shows that these
businesses DO conduct a substantial amount of their business
over the Internet and thus need a system that can easily handle
a lot of mail.
ipNXmail is a service that was developed with
these smaller businesses in mind. It recognizes that these businesses
cannot always justify the expense of the hardware, software and
support requirements of a mail system.
